BA(Hons) Accounting (1981)
ATII Member of the Institute of Taxation (1985)
After completing her accountancy degree, Jill was recruited to a graduate training scheme at Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers), spending her early years training in personal tax. After gaining her professional ATII tax qualification she was recruited by Arthur Andersen (now Accenture) to join their personal expatriate tax department. Here, she undertook extensive training and gained wide ranging experience of US tax, specialising in individual expatriate tax.
As a Senior Manager at Arthur Andersen, she managed large expatriate tax engagements for high profile global consulting clients, dealing with the UK and US tax return compliance service for their employees as well as employer related issues – structuring their tax equalisation plans, advising on stock acquisition plans and advising on tax efficient benefit programmes.
Jill continued her career joining an expat tax consultancy practice, Keats Jenkins, in West London, as a partner, dealing with the tax affairs of overseas consultants assigned to the UK.
Jill founded her own business practice over 20 years ago and currently has a wide and varied portfolio of clients. She has long established strong links with the many of the larger international accounting organisations, which facilitates obtaining clients payroll information as and when required. At least 40% of her clients have US tax filing obligations alongside UK tax filing obligations and many of her clients are foreign nationals working in the UK.
